Moments in a Box is a handwritten archive of Phish fan experiences. We send real letters to fans, they write back with their most memorable moments, and we archive and share those stories, exactly as written.

Phish means so much to so many of us. And tour stories are the best stories. This site provides a unique outlet for fans and a great way for us to hear those untold stories.

1. You complete our form and provide your mailing address
2. We send you a physical letter with a simple prompt
3. You write your story by hand and send it back (postage is included)
4. We scan your letter and add it to the archive

Anything that stands out to you as a Phish fan. A show, a moment, a feeling, a memory... big or small. There’s no right answer.

That’s up to you. You can choose a Display Name or submit anonymously. We'll show your Display Name and City, State.

Your address is only used to send you the letter. It is never shared, sold, or used for anything else.

If you ever want your letter removed or your Display Name changed, just reach out and we’ll take care of it.

Absolutely not! We'll cover the cost of mailing, in both directions.

We will never sell your story. This project exists to preserve and share the Phish fan experience. If we're ever lucky enough to publish letters in a collection (such as a book) any proceeds from such publication will be donated to a Phish-related charitable organization (such as The WaterWheel Foundation). This project is not operated for personal profit.
